About

As a multi-disciplinary performing artist based in Edinburgh, Kristin’s works have been across dance, theatre, musical, contemporary performance, music, and educational engagement. Born and raised in Taiwan, Kristin moved to the UK during the pandemic in 2020 and then since experienced profound evolution where her Easter root and Western influence intersects. Her interest accordingly lands on the discovery of one’s self-identity, which drifts, transforms, recalibrates, transits throughout the time encountering different cultures, languages, and values. She hopes to build up from her versatile background and make performing arts more meaningful and engaging with society, providing different views of seeing the world.

Being awarded the fund

"It is like opening up the next chapter of my current work. I very much value the conversations and connections between creatives, which always inspires me and shed light on my own practice. Being selected for this fund is so important for me that I could have the chance to connect with others, navigating my research and development as well as building up my own expertise. I also wish to bring the support I’ve received from this fund further to support others in the future."
