Etienne Kubwabo is a filmmaker, presenter and writer who has written, directed and produced award-winning documentaries, films and music videos. He's also the creator of Scotland’s first-ever black superhero: DJ ET, in Beats of War, is a superhero who comes to Earth to find a way to save his home planet from robot invaders - and in the process, discovers music.

Cat Hepburn is an award-winning writer for stage, screen and page. In addition to story-writing for several British television dramas and soaps, her poetry has featured on the TV, the radio, and on countless stages. She's performed on the likes of BBC6 Music, starred in a solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe, and has headlined many nights across the UK and beyond. She has supported artists such as Dr John Cooper Clarke, Saul Williams and George The Poet. Cat’s the author of two books, #GIRLHOOD (Speculative Books, 2018) and Dating & Other Hobbies (Burning Eye Books, 2021). Her work explores growing up, making mistakes, and navigating sex and relationships. She currently has a TV series in development with Film Nation.

Matthew Hickman.

Matt Hickman is a singer-songwriter, producer and budding filmmaker. Hailing from Ayrshire, Hickman is better known as brownbear. In the last few years the band has shared the stage with a plethora of big artists and brownbear’s self-released debut album ‘What is Home?’ was praised particularly amongst their growing fanbase leading to a headline tour that ended with a sold-out show at the infamous King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow. More recently, Hickman has come into the spotlight for his composing for soundtrack and the start of producing his first short film Stop the World, having successfully been one of the awardees of GMAC Film’s Little Pictures development fund.

Heather Parry is a Glasgow-based writer, editor, and publisher. She is the co-founder and Editorial Director of Extra Teeth magazine, co-host of the Teenage Scream podcast and the Scottish Senior Policy & Liaison Manager for the Society of Authors, a trade union for writers. In 2021 she created the free-access Illustrated Freelancer’s Guide with artist Maria Stoian. Her short stories and nonfiction have been published internationally, and her debut novel, Orpheus Builds a Girl, will be out in October 2022 with Gallic Books.

Julian Bailey is a Glasgow-based photographer specialising in portraiture. Having started out in the local metal music scene, he steadily progressed to shooting larger artists such as ScHoolboy Q, Enter Shikari and Nina Nesbitt, as well as having work featured in Metal Hammer and Kerrang. Fancying a change of scenery, he pivoted over to portraiture and fashion. He has since obtained a degree in photography and worked with clients such as BBC Scotland & The Metro. His work aims to capture bold and colourful imagery, presented in a fashionable and contemporary way. He is currently working on a series of monochromatic portraits called HUE.
